Features:
A beautiful large katana-sized Tosho tsuba, crafted during the Momoyama to Early Edo period, circa late 16th to early 17th century. Tosho groups are classified as Armor Makers.
Composed of beautiful well-forged iron, organic in appearance, this tsuba features a deep dark lustrous chocolate/black-brown patina. Its motif design is that of 2 overlapped circles in sukashi, with a kozuka hitsu-ana that has been nicely plugged a long time ago with lead or pewter.
This tsuba exhibits fine workmanship, is in excellent condition, and comes with a box (box not pictured).
