A very attractive and well-made sukashi tsuba, crafted by the Kyo Shoami school and composed of well forged iron. This large katana-sized tsuba possesses a beautiful lustrous, smooth and deep dark chocolate brown color-patina. In addition to very fine sukashi, it features fine granular tekkotsu, visible around the mimi/rim.
In excellent condition, with no damage of any kind.
