Features:

A robust, signed and dated Sue-Bizen katana by Shinjuro Sukesada. The blade features a long zokumei signature that includes ‘Maeda Judai’, indicating the sword as an heirloom of the Maeda family. Shinjuro Sukesada was a respected swordsmith from the Sukesada lineage active during the 16th century.

The nakago is ubu and signed Bizen no Kuni ju Osafune Shinjuro Sukesada Saku, and inscribed Maeda Judai. It is dated Genki San Nen Hachi Gatsu Kichi Jitsu (Fall, 1572). The jigane is a moist itame hada. The hamon is a loud notare with inner choji formations that mix with outstanding activities. The hamon finishes in a maru boshi.
